Cambrian at the IndoPacific Expo 2025

4–6 November 2025, Sydney

Cambrian Defence & Space returned to Sydney for Indo-Pacific 2025, taking full advantage of the three-day event to reconnect with defence industry partners and the broader community from across Australia, the Indo-Pacific region and the USA. While Cambrian did not host a stand this year, the team maximised the expo to build relationships, strengthen partnerships, and gain firsthand insight into the technologies shaping the maritime and defence landscape.

Industry Engagement

Throughout the event, Cambrian took part in a series of industry networking functions. We kicked things off with Saab’s opening-day networking event, which drew a broad mix of familiar faces, new contacts, and created space to introduce clients to key industry representatives.

Day two began with a fantastic breakfast at the Maritime museum hosted by Serco providing a strong setting for discussions surrounding maritime services and sustainment as well as connecting with the key leaders heading these initiatives. To wrap up a long day of defence festivities was the Austal networking function which provided time to discuss shipbuilding, SSN-AUKUS and the broader direction of sovereign capability.

The final day was a key highlight for Cambrian with the Babcock and Military Health & Emergency Services Australia (MESHA) morning tea. The session opened meaningful discussions surrounding workforce pathways, veteran support and community-focused initiatives. This event held particular significance for Cambrian, with our Co-Founder John Godwin serving as the Chairman of the Board of Governors for MESHA. His involvement underscored Cambrian’s ongoing commitment to supporting the broader defence and emergency services community.

Across the floor, Cambrian held productive conversations with a wide range of organisations. From major primes to innovative Australian SMEs, these conversations highlighted the pace of change and ingenuity within the defence ecosystem- much of it right here in Australia.

Supporting our Clients

Cambrian was proud to see several clients showcasing their capabilities at the event. SMART Technologies and Thinklogical exhibited side-by-side, drawing steady interest with interactive SMART displays and Thinklogical’s advanced secure switching demonstrations. Hendon represented South Australia on the state stand, which was consistently busy and showed strong interest in the state’s growing defence footprint. Meanwhile, Motorola Solutions maintained a strong presence with its own dedicated stand.

A Strong Year for IndoPac

Indo-Pacific 2025 was certainly the largest iteration in the event’s quarter-century history. The exhibition halls were full, and there was plenty to see- everything from submarine models to drone technology, tasers, and emerging autonomous systems drew steady crowds.

South Australia’s pavilion was a real standout, buzzing from start to finish. It was a great reminder of just how much momentum is building in the state’s defence and advanced manufacturing ecosystem.

To top it off, Sydney delivered perfect weather, making it an excellent week for conversations, connections, and industry visibility.
